VenmoWe are looking for a family to adopt our almost 5-year old miniature Australian shepherd, Belle. Belle has been both a great family dog and a great breeder dog and we are sad to let her go! We have a family member who has developed allergies and so we need to find Belle a new home. Belle is tenderhearted and we want her to go to a home where she will be given love and attention. $700 OBO.
Belle is not spayed and has a few more litters in her. With careful stud selection she will throw gorgeous puppies that historically have sold for $1,000 to $1,500 each (see the photos - there is one photo of each puppy she has ever had). Belle is a great mother and breeding her has been a highlight for our family. We would love for her to go to a home that will appreciate the whole process. If you wanted to breed her this year (summer puppies) there is some urgency to get organized as she will go into heat in February. Belle has an amazing temperament and is the most calm Australian shepherd we have ever met. She is not hyperactive and crazy. She is super obedient and eager to please. Her predominant focus is to figure out what you want her to do. She always stays close by and is a great hiking/adventure dog (except when she’s pregnant). It is very comfortable to take her out because she casually avoids other dogs and people - both on and off the leash. With eight children, Belle has demonstrated affectionate gentleness and tolerance. We have always felt safe with her in our home. She even tolerates the crowds of neighbor kids of all ages. She also gets along with our outdoor cat and the goats we used to have.
Belle has a double-coat. Her woolier undercoat sheds out twice a year for about a month (started last week around 1/22/26). She also has postpartum shedding of both coats. The rest of the time she is a pretty low shedder. Her coat grows to be soft and thick again a few months after having puppies. Belle is a purebred miniature Australian, but has not been registered. She has also been microchipped. Belle has had regular vet checkups and is current on vaccines and deworming. She will come with her kennel, leash, dog bed, food, treats, and all other dog supplies we have.
Most reputable breeders retire their dogs from breeding after 4 to 6 litters (depending on their health). Belle has had 3 litters. She has had excellent health and we would definitely breed her again. She is an incredible mother and loves having a job to do. She has amazing natural instincts, birthing all of her puppies and cleaning up after them without much help from us. She is patient with her pups and is happy to feed and care for them. Belle had her first litter when she was 2 years old. We have let her rest after each litter and skipped a cycle in between. This post includes pictures of Belle and the puppies from each of her three litters. We bred her with a different sire/breed each time and enjoyed seeing the variety of colorful coats and eyes her puppies had. She has been DNA tested and those results are available. That information will help in making a good stud selection.
1st litter - 6 Aussalier puppies (14-lb King Charles Cavalier Spaniel stud) 2nd litter - 5 Australian Mountain Doodle puppies (30-lb Bernedoodle stud) 3rd litter - 7 Aussidoodle puppies (11-lb Miniature Poodle stud)
Belle's Stats: Height: 18 inches Usual/ideal Weight: 40 lbs Current Weight: 54 lbs Typically Bell has been overweight for breeding and then puts it all into her puppies. She trims down to her rather slender 40 lbs by the time she finishes nursing them (around 8 weeks).
