VenmoRare, Vintage, Bridgeport BOSS 5 CNC milling machine. It's not often that you get the chance at one of these in this kind of shape and configuration!
-Vintage, circa 1979, American made, American retrofitted with many improvements. In great shape.
-Wired for versatility so the 3 phase motors ( X,Y, Z & spindle motor drives) can be run on single phase, 208-240VAC which makes it garage compatible. Imagine dressing up your garage or shop with this machine!
-3 Axis, rigid ram, knee mill with a brand new touchscreen, CNC control retrofit, complete. It has a 30 taper, Erickson quick change, programmable, variable speed spindle with a Bijur auto lube and Trico MD-1200 Micro-Drop coolant system that can be used with oil or environmentally friendly, vegetable based coolant:

-Brand new neoprene way covers
-Beefy, 1 1/4" ballscrews
-The problematic split pulleys for the old Spindle speed RPM changer have been removed and retrofitted with a fully programmable, synchronous drive spindle, timing belt and pulleys system.
CNC retrofit includes:
-A brand new, non proprietary CNC control
-The machine is completely, professionally rewired
-3 Brand new, 750watt (1HP), X, Y & Z AC servo motors and drives. The motors are buried inside the original, finned, heat sinks maintaining that cool vintage look but with new, fast, state of the art functionality and plenty of power. The original face panel has been left on to further enhance the vintage look.
-The head has been completely disassembled & gone through (pictures available). The existing gears (back gear system) have been thoroughly cleaned of the old grease & regreased. The head bearings have also been replaced (6 total).
-The spindle has been removed and cleaned and the thrust bearings have been cleaned & repacked with new grease.
-The scrapings on the ways are still in really good shape as you can see in the pictures.
