bought this to replace my damaged bumper on my 04 at the suggestion of a doofy mechanic that insisted the W163s all use the same bumper cover.

They don't. It's off a wrecked ML (meaning it's factory, not aftermarket) and I had it prepped and painted to match my vehicle only to find out after that they're not the same size.

If you've got a 98-01 ML (W163) and need a bumper that will just need your paint (and doesn't have parktronic), here you go!

Remember, it won't fit later years of the W163! It's in 04s Platinum Blue, which I don't think was a color for earlier models.
