We're seeking a breed-experienced handler for Mila - someone who leads an active lifestyle and can give her the exercise and mental stimulation she needs to thrive.
A home with no other dogs (or cats or other small fluffy animals) is best. She gets along great with our calm dog, but doesn't like our two rambunctious dogs, so I'd say she's a little dog-selective. We have not tested her with SMALL children since none of us have any, but just to be on the safe side, I'd recommend a toddler-free home. She does great with older kids though, ages 9+.
Our home is very quiet and peaceful, but that's not always real life - to mix things up, we have taken Mila to numerous group training events. She does great in group training where she is surrounded by up to 30 other dogs, She has been assessed by two trainers so far and both agree that her prey drive needs work and her leash skills also need a little polishing. Over the past two months, she has blossomed into a beautiful girl with a lovely spirit and unique personality.
She has significant food drive and enjoys scent work and tracking exercises. She has also been trained to use manual and motorized treadmills.
- 3 years old - Belgian Malinois Female
- Spayed, Current on all vaccines
- Potty trained
- Crates easily
- Sleek smooth coat, easy to bathe and blow-dry
- Loving and sweet, loves humans
- Opinionated and strong willed at times
- Walks well on a leash but needs work. We humans are way too slow!
- Rides great in the car (Transport is available upon adoption)
- Affordable adoption fee - $150 + bag of dog food, leash, collar, harness and all paperwork
