PayPalHere’s your chance to own an incredible sounding and playing luthier-built guitar for a very reasonable price. This beauty was Kent’s 107th build from 1994 and its got that gorgeous open tone that only comes from wood that has had a few decades to age. It’s in excellent condition and would otherwise fetch around $3,000 but I’m pricing it accordingly due to it having a couple professionally repaired cracks which were tightly cleated back in 2001 (the previous owner learned the hard way how important it is to keep acoustic guitars humidified in dry climates like Utah and the guitar has been properly stored and humidified ever since these repairs). Aside from these pro repaired cracks which are barely visible and don’t affect the guitar’s tone or structural integrity whatsoever, this fantastic instrument sings like only a hand voiced guitar can and I’m hesitant to sell it but I unfortunately need to fund another hobby and have so many other similar guitars that I just can’t justify keeping it. The action is set beautifully low for easy playing and it has a nice tall saddle that allows the strings a great break angle for excellent projection and volume. It also has a great Fishman pickup installed and it sounds equally fantastic plugged in. This guitar has some really cool touches such as mother of pearl inlays on the outer edges of the bridge, and I added a custom grained ivoroid pick guard to tie in with the rest of the ivoroid binding around the body and fretboard… it’s an eye catcher that looks even better in person. This is a real gem that you need to play and hear to truly appreciate - and a quick Google search will show you what a talented and respected luthier Carlos “Kent” Everett is (his more ornate and intricate builds run between $4-7k on the used market for reference, and Kent is now retired from guitar building so his guitars will only become more rare and collectible moving forward. Comes with its original hard shell case and has new Daddario XT custom light phosphor bronze strings on it. I’m willing to consider trades/partial trades and any reasonable offers. I work from home and you’re welcome to come check it out pretty much anytime.
