2 1/2 year old AKC limited registration spayed Newfoundland. We've had her since she was just a pup with the intention of her being with us forever. Sadly, we are having to rehome due to not having the right space and schedule for any animal for the next couple years. She is currently in group lessons over at Wasatch Canine Camp Orem just as refresher trainings. Kennel trained, knows her basic commands along with a few others, food motivated, and great with other dogs/kids. Cats are unknown. She's a bit on the silly side of not understanding her size. I do think older kids would be a better fit because of this. Once the energy has calmed down, she's content with just being in the same room as you. Loves car rides, camping, hikes, swimming, and toys. She's on a regular grooming schedule of every six weeks just for maintenance but does great with regular baths and blow drys. Now the quirks. She is very smart, a little too smart when it comes to knowing when your back is turned and going straight to the counter or trash. Leash/place command are a huge prevention in these cases. A large personality and very vocal when it comes to needing to go outside. Currently working on the barking but has been great if no dog door is available. She does have a chicken allergy, so reading ingredient labels is a must. She does have the Newf personality of do I listen or just stare at you so patience is needed lol. What we're looking for is a home with a fenced large yard, those who don't mind dog hair, and who are ready for a forever companion. We want the best for her as she is an awesome dog. We just know and hate to admit, she would be happier not with us. We will always take her back though incase it's not the right fit.
