VenmoWolfetone mean and meaner pickup set.
Music city bridge “the savvy”.
CTS pots.
Orange drop caps.
Switchcraft input Jack.
Full refret about 2 years ago with Stew Mac Medium/Higher free wire (2.13mm) width/ (.99mm) crown.
Hand made bone nut.
Refinished in Kalamazoo Mahogany stain over extremely dark brown (near black) grain filler. Then 9 or 10 thin coats of Birchwood Casey gun stock oil.
This guitar plays excellently. The truss rod functions flawlessly. The finish on the neck is a dream. This was originally Cardinal Red. Someone long before me refinished it poorly in a nasty brown. I sanded that back and re refinished it myself. It’s a very resonant and articulate guitar even unplugged. The Wolfetones are the perfect P90 and really being out and sweeten all the best bits of this guitar and make any amp sing. It is a rock and roll machine for sure, but if you play with nuance and dynamics you’ll appreciate it even more. It’s never had a headstock break. It has had a neck reset for proper Gibson angle. And it once had a hole drilled for a pickup selected that has been patched. You’ll see that right below the pickguard. I’ll include the vintage case. I believe it came from an early 70’s SG. This is not the original flimsy case that came with Melody Makers. Thanks for checking this out. Text is best. Cheers
