I am looking to sell some artwork that I bought at an estate sale about 10-15 years ago. It is an oil painting by artist William H Clapp (1879-1954).

I have never got it appraised, but by just doing general research online, you can see what his artwork goes for. I have attached a link at the bottom of an auction house, and what some of his other paintings have been appraised/sold at. The links at the bottom show other paintings of his that are of similar style, and the same size. You can also see with a few of them, that they were sold at the exact same Laky Gallery.

It is a size 15" x 18" of the actual painting. Not including the Frame.

The paining has no cracking, damage, or defects. It has been left in the original frame that I received it in.

I have included pictures of both the front and back of the painting.

On the back it has the words "Shadowy Pond". So I assume that is the name of the painting.

The stickers on the back have deteriorated over time.

One sticker says " Sun thickened Linseed oil and Turpentine"

The other sticker says "Guaranteed Authentic - By Laky Gallery, Carmel"

Laky Gallery, in Carmel CA, is a gallery that is no longer open, but was once a longtime art gallery owned by artist Zyta Laky.

I have never attempted to do any cleaning on this painting, as I did not want to risk damaging anything.

I would like to see it go to a home that can enjoy it. If I dont sell it on KSL, I plan to just ship it to an Auction House for auction.
