$1,700.00
I am looking to sell some artwork that I bought at an estate sale about 10-15 years ago. It is an oil painting by artist William H Clapp (1879-1954). With his signature on the bottom, it is indicated that this painting is from 1946.
Cash Only - $1,700
I have never got it appraised, but by just doing general research online, you can see what his artwork goes for. I have attached a link at the bottom of this ad, of an auction house that shows a nearly identical painting, of the same size, that was appraised at $20,000-$25,000 in 2008 at an auction, with a realized price of $16,000.
It is a size 14" x 18" Painting. That is not including the size of the frame
The paining has no damage, defects, or cracking. It has been left in the original frame that I received it in.
I have included pictures of both the front and back of the painting.
The Sticker on the back is stamped "Guaranteed Authentic - By Laky Gallery, Carmel"
Laky Gallery, in Carmel CA, is a gallery that is no longer open, but was once a longtime art gallery owned by artist Zyta Laky.
I have never attempted to do any cleaning on this painting, as I did not want to risk damaging anything.
I am unsure if there is any additional information behind the brown paper backing of the painting frame. I have never wanted to touch or fiddle with anything, as that is something a professional should handle.
I would like to see it go to a home that can enjoy it. If I dont sell it on KSL, I plan to just ship it to an Auction House for auction.
$1,700 Cash only.
If interested, please text #801-706-9261.

Here is the link for a very similar painting. Same size, same style, and colors. This painting was called "Girl with Green Umbrella" and was once sold at Waddingtons/Joyners Auctions.
My painting, as you can see has a blue umbrella.
