This is one stunning teddy bear! It is a reproduction of the original 1909 design. This has the KNOPFIM OHR ear tag/button in the ear. That states it was made in Germany. It is number 406256. This is made of genuine high quality blond mohair. This darling bear has jointed arms, legs and head. The eyes are black and the nose and mouth are stitched with a thick black thread. This has a felt type material on the paws. This bear is 17 inches tall. When sitting the bear is 13 inches tall. The taller larger bears like this one, are very hard to locate, especially in this like new condition. One of the world's most beloved toys, the teddy bear, was named in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt, after he refused to shoot a bear during a Mississippi hunting trip in Nov. 1902. This bear has been retired for many years. My mom bought this a very long time ago and it has never been played with. She loved it and only used it for display. This is in excellent condition in a non smoking home. Selling for a parent. Little pull cart is not included. No trades. Price is firm.
