PayPalI have a 2000-D Jefferson Nickel with Full Monticello Steps Visible, and I would like to sell it. This is a rare coin because a low number of 2000-D Jefferson Nickels showed full steps on Monticello, because the Denver mint made most of them too quickly. One of these recently sold for $1,320. I am asking $1200 or best offer. The first and second photos were taken with a flash, and the third photo was without a flash, which accounts for the darker image on the third photo. I included it because the steps are more clear. This coin is in MS-67 condition, and one like it, in the same condition, sold at auction recently for $1,320 as I stated above. If you look closely, you can see that ALL of the steps are visible on the reverse, and that is what makes it so rare and valuable. I have been coin collecting for 68 years, and I just recently received the details I have shared regarding the 2000-D Jefferson Nickels. Yes, the total number minted was very high, but the Denver mint produced so many of them so quickly that they did not maintain the quality control, so only a relatively low number of these coins show the full steps on the reverse of the coin, which is why they are so valuable. By the way, MS-67 is NOT the same as uncirculated. It simply means that the coin shows very little wear.
