Darby is an INCREDIBLE boy! I am not selling him because of anything wrong with him or any problem with him! I will be extremely picky where he goes! He is an indoor family member. He is house trained. He is crate trained or will sleep on your bed or a dog bed. He is great for bathing. He does not need a fenced yard and stays home when let out. He is great with other dogs of any size, cats, ducks, chickens, geese, horses, and cows. He is not a hunting dog. He is extremely affectionate and good with all ages of humans. He is AKC and full of champions. He is neutered. He is a big boy! He is 28” tall. He was born March 24, 2023. My only reason for finding him a new home is I am 69 years old and ended up with a blood clot in my leg that is just below my knee to my ankle. They don’t do anything with a blood clot below the knee but keep an eye on it. The problem is that it is extremely painful if touched, hit, laid on, brushed up against, etc. Darby is my shadow and is glued to me so my day is filled with leg pain. Believe me this really sucks for me and him. This is really hard for me to do, believe me, and that is why I will be very picky. He is current on all shots and deworming. He is a total house dog. He’s used to sleeping on the furniture and on a bed with my mom. We want him to go to a home where he will have the same kind of life. if you are not willing to let him be on the furniture with you like he is used to that’s not the home we want for him. He is 100% a people dog. He will follow you everywhere you go and be your best friend and companion. Even to the bathroom with you.

Irish Setters make wonderful, affectionate, and playful family pets for active owners who can meet their high energy and companionship needs, as they are sweet, loyal, and great with kids, but they need lots of exercise, mental stimulation, and don't do well alone all day.
