Doppulina is the kind of mare everyone hopes to find — beautiful, kind, and steady. This imported Icelandic sweetheart is as affectionate as they come and happily accepts all the cookies and attention you’re willing to give.
She is solid in all five gaits, with a standout tolt that is smooth and enjoyable to ride. She has had arena training in her past and understands seat and leg cues well. That said, since we primarily trail ride, she would benefit from a light refresher to tune her back up in a consistent arena program.
She is a solid and dependable horse on the trail. She will lead or follow, making her a versatile partner for group rides. She stands tied quietly, has no bad habits, and is excellent for the farrier. She currently wears shoes on all four feet.
Doppulina had a colt in 2021 and was a wonderful, attentive mama. She has proven herself both under saddle and as a broodmare.
She is truly a gentle, well-rounded mare — we simply aren’t using her as much as we had hoped and are making the difficult decision to downsize our herd.
