Capable of switching from heat to cooling when needed, this thermostat allows for the choice of what temperature to set for: -Wake time -Leave time -Return time -Sleep time Each of these is programmable for each day of the week, so you may be able to set it once and forget it. Of course, if strange weather sets in, you can always manually change it. It also has a Vacation hold, which allows the temp to be at a certain level for a specified time.

Works perfectly; my situation made it so that I needed to spend the money to get a Wi-fi model.
