Blackjack is a broke gelding, roughly 15 hands and about 18 yrs old according to the dentist. To be honest, we inherited him a few years ago when my father in law passed away so we don't know a whole lot about this guy. My 8 year old son got along with him just fine. He's roped the dummy but we haven't roped live cattle with him. He rides around quiet, but I wouldn't say he's good for a beginner only because he's a big, strong horse and I've never had a beginner on him. I think he'd be great with a confident teenager. Blackjack has 4 solid black feet, 100% sound, super easy keeper. I have a video of my son jogging him around. He acts and looks more like he's 10, not 18.
