I'm an arborist and custom furniture builder in the Salt Lake/Park City area that builds custom furniture pieces out of trees I'm hired to remove. I recently built a non commissioned, live edge coffee table out of a Vanderwolf Limber Pine I removed from a private property in Cottonwood Heights. The tree died from the mountain pine beetle which resulted in a distinctive and vibrant blue stain in the already unique wood. Table is rectangular with dimensions of 46 W, approx. 24 D, 18 T. Fully constructed with one 3 thick slab. The live edge pine would appeal to a ski lodge or any mountain property though the unique, distinctive design and wood make it appealing to any interior theme. Because this is a non commissioned piece, the price is significantly lower than a commissioned piece.
