Meet Ariel's Rose, or more affectionately known as Rosie!
She's a two year old, turning three in June, filly from the Black Mountain Idaho HMA.
I'm rehoming her due to my health. I got her as a challenge horse for the 2024 Branded Bonanza in Idaho, but ended up dropping out and keeping her as my next horse. She was supposed to be my 2nd personal horse but God has other plans for us.
SHE IS NOT RIDABLE YET! She has a super solid foundation on the ground, and I have only sat on her twice bareback. The longer she stays with me the more I will be putting work into riding and her price will go up!!
Goods:
-She handles great for the vet and the farrier
-can load and unload out of the trailer (she backs out)
-All four feet can be picked up and handled
-Can be safely led anywhere
-I have walked her alongside semi busy roads before with no care on her part
-will do anything you ask once she trusts you
-shes super smart
-shes ALREADY 14.3 HANDS. Those wanting a taller mustang, she's for you!
-very good natured, no kick or bite.
Bads:
-she will paw when bored/upset. Not 'dig myself into a hole' paw, but a 'im upset and want you to know' paw. I'm sure with work it will disappear.
She needs another trainer to be her next owner. She is a total sweetheart but she needs consistency, which I can not offer her right now. She was a dream when I had been consistent with her.
She's lived in a pasture with 2 other horses ever since I got her, and she sits pretty low on the totem pole, but will play with the other horses.
I gentled her with R+ and have been working her with Natural Horsemanship, so she's ready to learn however you want her to.
Shes not feral. She has had 2 years of loving and training, so I'm going to be picky about her next home. She is a very special horse and I want to see her succeed.
Open to reasonable offers.
