ApplePay1957 Gibson L-50 Acoustic Archtop
Great playing Gibson acoustic archtop in beautiful 1950's sunburst finish.
Guitar is in overall good condition with appropriate wear for its age. There are minor dings and dents in the finish as highlighted in the photos. There is a repaired split near the top bass side F-hole that has been expertly cleated on the inside and is very stable. Rosewood bridge and base are original, the nut and frets are original and do not show any major wear, nor are there major divots on the fretboard. Original pickguard and bracket are included - at some point the pickguard had a small cutout for a pickup. Tuners are modern drop-in replacements, at some point it had 70's style Schaller tuners and the extra mounting holes have been filled. Really nice feeling neck with the Les Paul style trapezoid inlays (I imagine it's as close to feeling what an actual late 50's Les Paul burst feels like as I'll ever get). Tailpiece has been replaced with a modern period-correct style diamond trapeze tailpiece. Guitar keeps tune well and sounds lovely.
Nut width: 43mm
Neck depth 1st fret: .85"
Neck depth 10th fret: .95"
Overall a really clean example of these classic vintage acoustic arch tops. Includes after market hard case.
Please take a look at the photos and message with any questions.
