VenmoThis large, 3 Inch Abraham Lincoln Bronze Medal makes a great gift for achievements or celebrations.
The obverse of the medal features a portrait of Abraham Lincoln with the inscription “ABRAHAM LINCOLN” centered along the border of the medal.
The reverse of the medal features a wreath of oak and laurel within a pearled ring with the inscription “INAUGURATED PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES MARCH 4, 1861. SECOND TERM MARCH 4, 1865. ASSASSINATED APRIL 14, 1865.” Within the wreath is a spray of pine and cedar, circled by a serpent with its tail in its mouth – the Egyptian symbol of eternity and immortality.
I purchased this medal straight from our US Mint in 2010 and have had it in storage since. It comes with the original receipt and the included presentation case and certificate of authenticity (see pictures) you’ll see the medal is still in the unopened plastic. This is all in new condition and you can see it in person to verify authenticity before committing to buy, versus uncertainty with online sources plus paying shipping. Given the termination of the penny and the significance of the Lincoln penny, this item is sure to be of value for years to come!
