VenmoIt's time to start transplanting strawberries! You can start as soon as the ground is workable (not frozen solid). I am selling three everberring strawberry varieties: Evie-2, Seascape, and Eversweet (all organically grown). $10 gets you a box of at least 15 live plants freshly dug out of the ground. Please give me a 30 minute notice before you arrive so i can dig them out of the ground for you. I'm convinced these are the best varieties you can grow on the wasatch front. Once I found these three, I got rid of all my June bearing varieties. These three will have a huge harvest in early June but then continue to produce all summer, right up to the first frost. In 2025, I picked strawberries up to the middle of October. Did you know one cup of Strawberries has more vitamin C than an orange. All three of these varieties taste much sweeter than anything you can buy at the store. Here is more about each variety: EVIE-2: If I could only grow one variety, it would be Evie-2. It's by far the most productive, has the largest berries, and will multiply faster than any other variety. If you are worried about food security, this is the one you need. USU conducted a strawberry trial a few years ago and found Evie-2 to be the most productive variety for Utah soils. They were not lying! SEASCAPE: This is a medium sized plant with medium sized berries and produces well even after the beds become overgrown. I kept them in a grow box for 5 years and they were still producing great on year five. (for most strawberries, its recommended to transplant them to a new spot every 4 years to avoid root crowding). As a test, I have also grown Seascape in a greenhouse and had ripe berries in the middle of January! EVERSWEET: this variety produces the smallest berries but they are slightly sweeter than the other two varieties. The small plant is great for growing in pots or patio planters. They don't multiply that fast but are the best producer in the late summer. I harvest more berries from these in October than the other two varieties. The stems are short and that tends to keep the fruit up off the ground and avoids rot if you have them in an overly damp location. NOTE: I'm an Organic gardener and my plants have only ever seen my sandy soil and a sprinkling of compost once every spring. That's it. These varieties are robust and easy to grow. Gardening Tips: \
