GooglePayHis name is Tails. And he’s a biggun’.
A healthy, big boy. He was the biggest of the litter - imagine the opposite of a runt.
He comes when you call him, and once he gets to you, prepare to be headbutted - lovingly, of course - all over your person. His favorite thing to do is rub his head all over you. Doesn’t matter who it is. I don’t think this dude has a sense of danger, to be honest. He didn’t distinguish between us, the in-laws, or the plumber. EVERYONE gets headbutts. And everyone loves them. Tails has turned the so-called “cat hater” before, so he’s got that going for him, which is nice. Or, perhaps he DOES have a sense of danger - he’s just that confident in his abilities that he doesn’t care. I’m not sure which thought is better, to be honest. Or scarier.
Each front leg has one half of a heart on it, so when Tails brings both front legs together, they form a heart. I really wish I could get a picture of that, but I think he’s keeping that private - only for the eyes of his chosen family. The public doesn’t get access to such dignity.
One thing we simply do not understand about Tails, however, is how on earth such a large, lumbering body holds such a tiny, delicate meow. His voice does not match his appearance. When he opens his mouth, you expect a nice, dignified, deep, gentlemanly “me-OW” befitting his tuxedo; what you get instead is a squeaky, kitten-ish “ah-ow!” I don’t know if he will ever learn to properly meow, but thankfully he doesn’t seem aware that he sounds so silly. Good for him. He seems perfectly happy and content as he is.
Tails is very affectionate with everyone. He is especially good with children. He absolutely loves to cuddle but is not at all suffocating - although you might need to dodge his headbutts every now and then. You’ll have to take that up with him, unfortunately.
He is 5 years old, vaccinated, neutered, and litter-box trained. We recommend a covered/closed litter box, as he has a habit of standing on the edge of it and tipping it over.
I forgot to mention that he does much better either by himself or with female cats - he asserts his dominance with other males as he believes he deserves befitting his glorious status. He's quiet, but he knows his worth. There's a reason he's decked out in a dashing tux, after all - with that heart that he presents to those he deems worthy, of course. I worry about him asserting his dominance in ways like spraying if he's put into a home with other males. Otherwise, he knows he's [very quietly] in charge when his dominance is an obvious given. As it should be.
We need to rehome him because I (wife) have become fully disabled, and taking care of so many cats has become too difficult. Like our other cat listings, this is not an easy relinquishment, but we are trying to do what is best for them in the long run. We hope he finds a good, loving home.
We would prefer pickup, but if absolutely necessary, we may be able to arrange drop-off within about 50 minutes.
He is free to a good home, but I had to put a price down.
