In a previous life I won a large fixie frame at a stationary sprints competition at the old Sages Cafe in SLC. I sold that frame, bought this awesome steamroller, and rode this bike through years as a bike messenger and urban commuter. I won alleycats as first fixed femme on this bike in SLC, Vegas, LA, San Fran, Portland, Olympia, Seattle, and NYC. It has a lot of good karma and a lot of years left on it. I'm selling it as is, thus the good price. It has plenty of dings from bike locks/racks and could use new tires and likely new tubes though I haven't even tried pumping them up.
Specs:
Surly Steamroller 49cm frame (I'm a 5'5" woman, would be great for a 5'1"-5'5" person)
original surly fork
lightweight Thomson stem and seatpost (this whole bike is super light, don't know the total weight)
super upright handlebars for a more upright riding position
46/16 gear ratio which is a great all-around ratio
flip-flop hub, freewheel on one side fixed on the other
Shimano front brake because it's worth not dying
Shimano pedals that fit cages if which I totally recommend
comfy saddle, not to hard not too soft, but def warn
water bottle cage with a screw missing but I'll see if I can find one
I think that covers it. Sold as is. $400 cash only, downtown SLC.
Thanks for reading, ride on!
