The reason why we love this breed so much is because we have 4 kids that have allergies to cats and we weren’t able to have a cat in the house until we found this breed. this breed claim to cause no allergic reaction for 95% of all people. So anytime we went to anyone’s house that had cats my kids and my wife would have a allergic reaction. I’m so grateful that these cats give my kids the opportunity to have a little buddy in their life that doesn’t affect their breathing or health. I hope the Siberian breed will bless the lives of those who have severe allergies.

Siberians are hypoallergenic for 95% of people with severe allergies to cats. 5% react, but to a much smaller degree. Here's why. All cats secret a protein through their saliva called FEL-D1, which is what people are allergic to. Cats groom themselves with their tongues-spreading the protein throughout their fur. In the world of purebred, registered cats, Siberians have the least amount of this protien! They are very smart, friendly and will want to be near their owners. They make delightful companions for adults and children as well.
