VenmoWe are looking to rehome our 3-year-old male Mini Aussie. This has not been an easy decision — he is a wonderful dog — but we want to find a home that better fits his needs. We have only had him for a few months, so we do not know much about his full back history prior to coming to us.
About Him:• Neutered • House trained (no accidents since we’ve had him) • Very smart — knows sit, stay, shake, and “place” (kennel command) • Great on a leash • Loves playing catch and going for walks • Affectionate, loyal, and a total love bug once he trusts you
He is very protective of his home and can be fearful of unfamiliar men (this was shared by the previous owner as well). He has bonded well with my husband and son but does not do well with frequent new visitors or strangers coming in and out of the home. He does great in public settings.
When stressed or overstimulated, he may growl or nip as a warning, so he will need an experienced owner who understands dog behavior and can provide structure and a calm environment.
He has mostly adjusted to our other dogs, but we believe he would thrive best as the only dog in a calmer home without children, where stimulation is lower and routines are predictable.
This boy is incredibly well-behaved and relaxed in the right environment — we simply want to find the situation where he can succeed long-term.
A rehoming fee applies (negotiable) to ensure a committed home. He will come with his kennel.
