They’re about a year old and won’t get to their mature form until 3 years old. Fun fact: They can live up to 10 years old with proper care! $20/fish or $45 for all.
These guys are one of the best algae eaters you can get on the market. Eating a range of different types of algae like thread algae, hair algae, and the most hated/despised type of algae- black beard algae. This species is one of the only algae eaters that will touch the ugly black beard algae. They are great in community tanks and love to scavenge the glass, rocks, and driftwood (their favorite) for any algae. If you’re looking for a fish that will eat any algae you may have in your tank, these will make a perfect addition!
