This absolutely stunning hand made and signed by artist large covered butter/cheese dish was purchased at a very high end Pottery Studio in Clifton, Ireland in 2010; and has been displayed in a glass cabinet ever since. Unfortunately, just moved and the glass cabinet is gone due to space issues so need to sell the contents of it.
Its base is 8 1/2 inches wide; with the inside area for holding butter/cheese at 5 1/2 inches wide. This width will accommodate any large butter stick or cheese wedge. The top, whose edges fit inside the groove of the base; is 7 1/2 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches tall. The knob on top for lifting the lid off is large enough to be able to deftly grasp it with a hand instead of the usual small little ones that you lift with only a finger and thumb! There are no chips, cracks, breaks, etc. It is in perfect condition!
I spent 48.00 Euros on this; which is about $59.00; 16 years ago for it. I suspect it would have an asking price far more than $75.00 today.
Therefore, my asking price of $10.00 for it is a VERY fair value!
