Mabel is the ultimate cuddle muffin — happiest curled up next to you on the couch, but she also has the energy for long walks and adventurous hikes. She’s the perfect mix of snuggly and active.

She can be a little timid at first, but give her a little patience and love and she warms up beautifully. Once she trusts you, she is all heart. Mabel blends into the pack with ease and gets along wonderfully with everyone — including the four-legged felines in her foster home

Many of you remember Mabel’s journey. She was an owner surrender who came into rescue absolutely terrified. After escaping her foster three times, she was missing for 3½ long weeks before our incredible trapper was able to safely catch her using her favorite Del Taco grilled chicken. It was a stressful chapter, but it showed just how resilient this girl is.

Once reunited and placed with her current foster — alongside her brother Scooby, who was surrendered with her — Mabel finally began to decompress. She learned what a calm, safe home feels like. She learned to trust. And she has blossomed into such an amazing, loving girl.

Mabel would thrive in a home with kids and a doggy friend to help continue building her confidence. She just needs a family who will give her the stability and love she deserves. After everything she’s been through, it’s her turn for a happily ever after.
