Hi everyone! I have a bit of an unusual question, so I hope it’s okay to ask here.
I’m a local artist who creates pieces using naturally found materials like animal bones, bird nests, feathers, and insects. Everything I use is found after the animal has passed naturally — I don’t harm or hunt animals for my work.
I was wondering if anyone here knows a local rancher, farmer, or landowner who wouldn’t mind me occasionally walking parts of their property (like fence lines, ravines, or open land) to look for natural remains. These kinds of places are often where animals naturally end up, and the bones can eventually become part of an art piece that honors the animal.
I’m always very respectful of property, livestock, and the land, and I would of course ask permission before ever visiting. I’d also be happy to gift a small artwork as a thank-you if anything I find becomes part of a finished piece.
If you know someone who might be open to this, or if you’re a landowner yourself and are curious, feel free to comment or message me. I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks for reading and for helping support local art. 🤍
