PayPalExcellent condition 1:48-scale solid wood/ resin F-22 Raptor desk model with pivoting stand, and highly accurate detail.
Wikipedia has a picture of the actual jet with matching markings, captioned "The first operational F-22A Raptor #01-4018 cruises over Florida on its delivery flight to Tyndall, home of the world's first Raptor squadron." The jet was ordered in 2001, and delivered to the 43rd Fighter Squadron in 2003 for pilot training.
This majestic desk model is located in Salt Lake City, and was made in the Philippines. The base plaque has "F/A-22", which is the 2001 - 2005 designation. It would be easy to change it to the current designation "F-22" with a decal if desired. Model measures 11" wingspan, 15.25" length. Close inspection reveals just one small flaw - a tiny paint chip near the nose (see pic).
The F-22 is the most awesome operational fighter jet on the planet, with ultra-stealth technology, internal weapons bays, highly sophisticated avionics and weapons systems, and thrust-vectoring nozzles for superb maneuverability. It has a max speed of mach 2.25, and can 'supercruise' at mach 1.73 without afterburners.
