High-Performance Highlights
The Speed King: This is famously one of the fastest interfaces ever made. It uses a direct-to-DAW architecture, meaning there is no bloated internal software (DSP) slowing down the signal.
True Zero Latency: You can achieve round-trip latency of less than 1ms. This allows artists to monitor through their DAW with plug-ins engaged (like reverb or amp sims) in real-time without any detectable delay.
Thunderbolt 2 Advantage: While marketing pushes Thunderbolt 3/4, the TB2 connection on the Quantum provides more than enough bandwidth for all 26 inputs and 32 outputs simultaneously. It is rock-solid and often more stable on older "workhorse" studio Macs than newer USB-C interfaces.
Stackable Power: You can daisy-chain up to four Quantum units via Thunderbolt to create a massive 96x96 system, all controlled as a single interface.
Audio Quality: Pristine 24-bit/192kHz recording with a wide 120dB dynamic range.
Preamps: 8 recallable XMAX Class A preamps. These are digitally controlled analog pres, so you can save and recall your exact gain settings within your session.
I/O Count: 26-in/32-out (includes 2 combo mic/instr inputs, 6 mic/line inputs, 10 balanced outputs, and dual ADAT I/O).
Bonus Features: Built-in talkback microphone and "Dim/Mute" controls right on the front panel, effectively acting as a monitor controller.
If you’re looking at the newer Quantum 2626 and wondering why this 26x32 is often preferred—it’s the build and the extra features. This unit includes the integrated talkback mic, dedicated physical DIM/Mute buttons, and more flexible I/O that the 'budget' newer versions stripped away.
Very high end recording device lightly used, purchased brand new for $1000 in 2017. Used for approximately 2 weeks before I bought an MPCX which I used all the time. I put it away and hasn't been used since. I used a MacBook Pro touch 2016 1T 16 g ram which I'll sell too if interested. However this interface was better than my MPcX as far as quality but never set them up together. I have lots of gear for sell to prepare for an upcoming trip. Guitars, bass, electric kit, powered PA speakers, studio monitors, acoustic kit, lots of pro cymbals in great condition. message me for more details. The more you buy the cheaper I can go.
