ZelleAstraea – 1-Year-Old Cane Corso Seeking an Experienced Home Farmington, Utah | $500 rehoming fee Meet Astraea, a one-year-old female Cane Corso with a lot of love to give to the right person. What she knows: She’s house trained, fully crate trained, and knows several commands including kennel, place, sit, down, shake, and a decent stay. She’s smart and eager to please. The good stuff: Once Astraea bonds with you, she is incredibly loyal and affectionate. She loves to snuggle, wants to be close to her person, and is eager to please. She lives with a small dog and they do great together. What you need to know: Astraea has socialization and behavioral issues that need to be addressed. She can be reactive, mouthy, and unpredictable around new people. She may warm up with food and seem comfortable, then suddenly nip or lunge without clear warning. She has bitten through clothing and left marks. With new dogs she barks, growls, and will nip if they approach her. She warms up to smaller dogs fairly quick, but with larger dogs she’s less predictable and needs a barrier and slow introductions. She also lacks confidence and needs help building that up. This is a dog that needs dedicated behavioral work and ideally a professional trainer or someone very experienced with guardian breeds. Why she’s available: My work now requires extended travel, and I can’t give her the consistent structure and training she needs during this critical developmental stage. Ideal home: Someone experienced with large guardian breeds who can provide firm, consistent leadership, continued socialization, and structured training. A home with an older, well-adjusted dog who can help show her the ropes through her teenage years would be ideal. Not recommended for homes with small children. She has the foundation to be a wonderful dog, but she needs real commitment to get there. Serious, experienced inquiries only. I’m committed to finding her the right home, not just any home.
