This official BSA pocket knife, showing the worn but intact BSA First Class Emblem on it; was bought by my father in 1934 when he was in the Boy Scouts back in Indianapolis.
As the pictures show, this knife has seen use; but all four blades are in good shape; are not wobbly, open and close as expected, and it has the very unusual forth blade that I forgot its purpose (looks like it would slice through cloth, canvas, etc.).
Its black composition handles have NO cracks in them; and the nickel-silver bolsters and liners are in very good shape.
When closed, the knife is about 3 3/4 inches long; and when fully opened, is about 7 inches long from blade tip to blade tip.
The main blade near the bolster shows the "L F&C" marking; with the "Universal" inside the emblem below it. The "L" has some loss; but the F&C is very easy to read.
In looking online, this exact knife; in worse condition, has an asking price of $169.99. There is a person selling a no-functional one that the blades don't open (bad springs) and has one blade broken as a "parts knife" for $122.00.
Therefore, my asking price for this extremely rare official BSA knife of $95.00 is a VERY GOOD PRICE. If you are a collector of either Boy Scout or vintage knives, I am pretty sure that you don't have this in your collection and will never find another one of these available locally to buy.
If interested, please call or text Randy @ 801-830-7556.
