This is an iron block, gen 3 LQ9 (I was told). I purchased this in a package deal, and I don’t indent to keep it.
I was told it came out of a gmt800 Escalade, which would make it an LQ9, but I haven’t scoped the bores to verify if it’s a flat top piston. “So”, it’s possible that it can be an LQ4 (out of a GMT800 Denali).
This was attached to a 4x4 4L60e, along with a 4481 t-case. Which verifies it’s either an LQ4/LQ9.
The engine turns over, and is considered a core!
