It is difficult to write this, but we are looking to rehome our 7-year-old Australian Shepherd. He has been part of our family since before we had children, and this decision is not an easy one. As our family has grown, we’ve realized we can no longer give him the time and attention he deserves.

He is up-to-date on all vaccinations and heartworm testing and is in great health. At seven years old, he is still very active and full of life. He would thrive in a home with older children or adults. He would also do great with another dog. He loves playing fetch or simply being wherever you are.

We adopted him from an animal shelter when he was two years old and have invested a lot of time into training him. He has excellent recall, is wonderful off leash, and is incredibly loyal. He truly is a “shadow” — if he hadn’t already come with his name, that’s what we would have called him.

He is the most devoted companion and deserves a home where he can continue to be active and involved in everyday life. We are hoping to find someone who is ready to give him the love, exercise, and attention he thrives on.
