ZelleMeet Zak – 9-Year-Old Slovak Import German Shepherd
Zak is a 9-year-old Slovak import German Shepherd who has been an incredible partner and working companion. His OFA hips were certified good at age five, and he has remained sound, strong, and active.
For the last two years, Zak has gone to school with me regularly and has proven himself to be an exceptionally stable dog. He is calm around people, confident in busy environments, and dependable in situations that require a steady mind.
Zak is completely comfortable around horses and livestock. He will follow along on the four-wheeler, ride along with horses, and stay right with you while you work. He loves having a job and being with his person all day.
More than anything, Zak is loyal. He is the kind of dog who will stand beside you and protect you if needed. He is steady, sensible, and fair with other dogs—giving clear corrections when appropriate but living peacefully around them.
This dog is my friend, and finding him the right home matters to me. I am bringing up some younger dogs, and it is time for Zak to go on to be someone else’s best partner in the next chapter of his life. He still has many good years left to give.
Zak would be an excellent fit for someone who spends time outdoors—ranching, riding horses, rodeoing, or simply wanting a loyal companion that goes everywhere with them.
