“Ruby” - The Girl Got Rhythm - 2007 Registered mare

I am looking for a new home for my lovely mare, unfortunately I will be moving and cannot take her with me. Ruby is 19 years old, she’s a great all around mare with a good mind. She has been working very lightly due to my schedule for the past couple of years, but when we were working regularly we were doing western pleasure, low level reining and dressage, and general equitation. She also had a previous hunter jumper background. She’s good on trails, well-tempered, and has such a fun personality. She puts her heart into working with you, and is excellent at meeting you where you are at.

Since she’s 19, she has some maintenance. She has arthritis in her right hock, we took x-rays a few years ago but unfortunately I do not have copies. She had a mild episode of laminitis around two years ago, she’s just been on grass hay since and has done great. Her personality quirks: I think that she had a bad experience with the farrier before I got her, she gets nervous with the farrier around her hind end. I keep front shoes on her and she does really well with that. She loads for the trailer great, but if you don’t talk her through backing out she tends to fly out.
