Frank is a 2 year old draft cross gelding (born 3/17/24). He stands about 16 hands. His dad is full Clydesdale, and mom is a 1/2 draft 1/2 quarter horse technically making frank a 3/4 draft.
The good: He is green broke to ride and is ready for his next owner to take him in any direction you’d like. He’s not spooky, has a calm temperament, good with other geldings (haven’t had him around mares) has never offered a buck, and doesn’t try to bolt when you’re on him. He has good ground manners, stands tied, trailers well, good for the farrier etc.
The not so good: We sent him off to a trainer for 60 days and he made it 3/4 thru before we had to go get him (I can get more into that in person) long story short, frank can be difficult to catch sometimes and he developed a bad habit of jumping fences under pressure. He’s pretty cut up right now from his most recent incident but I took him to the vet on 3/10/26 and he has been cleared. All superficial wounds not even stitches. Unfortunately we are just not in a position right now to give frank the time he needs or to find another trainer. More than anything we just want to see frank go to a good home where he will be valued for what I know he can become.
Please don’t hesitate to call me with any questions. I have plenty of additional information on frank that i can’t fit into this ad.
