VenmoLuna is a great dog. She’s super sweet and loves being petted and all kinds of attention. She’s 7.5 years old, we’ve had her since she was about 1.5 years old.
Her breeder was abusive and neglectful and she was rescued by a family that couldn’t keep her, so she found her way to us. She’s been amazing for my mental health, which was the reason we originally got her. She is spayed and has no health issues.
There are a few reasons we need to rehome her. First, our son is showing signs of asthma and the dust and fur she naturally brings into our home don’t make it any better. Also, our family has grown in the years that we’ve had her, and that means we’ve grown busier. My job is busier and my spouse is getting a graduate degree and, combined with kids activities, Luna just isn’t getting the time and attention she deserves. Because of this, she’s acted out a little with barking more, getting protective of her food, and being slightly less patient with kids (nothing too serious, just warning growls and nips).
It’s been a really hard decision but we want what’s best for her, so we’re looking for someone to take her and give her love for last years of her life. She’s not a livestock guardian, and she’s used to being indoors mostly, but loves hanging outside. She would do best with a family with no kids or older kids, and some sort of a yard.
