German made Pfaff 145 completely timed and tuned and ready for work. The short video shows this machine sewing through 8 layers of leather, forward and reverse, effortlessly with no hands. This machine has been completely timed and tuned to operate this flawlessly. Most people run a 500 or 600 watt servo motor when they switch from a clutch motor. This 750 watt motor is capable of punching through this much material without blinking an eye. These machines are capable of sewing heavy materials like; Canvas, Tents, Chaps, Belts, Leather, Vinyl, even Plastics (as in the plastic reinforcement at tie downs for awnings). Yet it can also sewing more delicate fabrics used in garments for dresses and blouses. These machines normally came with a clutch motor that takes time and experience to master. I’ve just installed a new 750 watt servo motor that lets you set the speed digitally, so it doesn’t matter if you’ve never sewn before. With walking foot machines, the machine literally grabs the material with 2 mechanical points (one on top, one on the bottom) and pulls the material for you. Where you don’t even need to touch the material to feed it. I have a video on YouTube where this machine is sewing leather folded over to 8 layers totally 1/2” thick. And it’ll feed it with no hands. FB won’t let me put a link here, but if you copy and paste this listing, it’ll lead you to it. The channel is my name, David Miller. PFAFF 145 H3 With 750 Watt Servo Motor. Feel free to contact me with any questions on this machine. Or if you’re not sure what kind of machine you need, have questions about another machine you’re looking at, or anything related to these industrial sewing machines. You’re also welcome to come over and just try it out to get a feel of how these machines run. They’re great workhorses, and they do hold their value. So if you’re needing one to just do a project like reupholstering a boat, when you’re done, you can resell it for the same amount. Whatever you do, do not buy any of these machines unless you’ve tested it out. If someone is selling one and says it runs fine but doesn’t want to plug it in for you, walk away. These machines need to be timed perfectly to work right. And timing a machine could be costly. Also, try to bring the material you plan to use with you to test out on the machine you plan to buy. This way you’ll be sure the machine will perform as you intend it to before you buy it.
