Extensively musical, and full of emotion, there is no hint of harsh tones, brightness, or coloration of the music. It reproduces music in its truest form, sweet soaring highs, clear concise mids, and deep tight base. It will bring out the fullest protentional of any music you chose to play. Weighing in at 71 lbs. This unit is built like a tank. Don't let the 30W per channel fool you; this amplifier is no joke and has power to spare. It was recently serviced at an Esoteric Authorized repair shop where it went through a thorough service including a new power transformer, adjusted idle current. performed alignment procedure, and was completely cleaned.
So why am I selling. While this was waiting for the parts and repair, I ended up buying a new Marantz Model 10. Their flagship reference amplifier that goes for $15k, which I will also list for sale. I love them both and I can't really decide which one I like best, so whichever one sells first I will keep the other, they each have their strengths, so if the Marantz sells first this will not be available. It is hooked up and is available for demonstration to serious buyers. Last I checked this is the only used F-03 for sale in the US, I don't know why anyone would sell one once they have heard it as this in an endgame piece of audio equipment, unless they were dumb like me and bought a $15k amp while this was int he shop. Oh yes, the phono and headphone sections are amazing!
his amazing Esoteric amp is one of the standouts in the field of modern integrated amplifiers. It is pure Class A and dual monaural putting out 30 wpc into 8 ohms and 60 wpc into 4 ohms. Subjectively, it appears to have the grunt of at least 100 wpc and the result sounds like a valve preamp driving a solid-state power amp. The poise, transparency and imaging has to be experienced to be believed.
The fit and finish is nothing short of amazing, and the chassis exudes excellence in every physical sense. Standalone it weighs 32kg.
This amp for sale includes the Esoteric DAC module which may be the last DAC one would ever need - it's that good.
RRP of the amp is $17,000 and $1,500 for the DAC board, so $18,500 for this package. Sellers fees are included in the asking price.
I have the full factory double box packaging which is also in excellent condition.
