ApplePayIt truly breaks my heart to write this, but we are looking for a new home for our dog, Marceline. She will be 3 in April and is 100% German Shepherd. She is very smart, obedient, food-driven, and kennel trained (not spayed yet). She went through multiple training courses with me through PetSmart and excelled and had so much fun with them. She will come with her very nice kennel, leash, collar, bag of her food and her favorite toys. We are asking a $100 rehoming fee to ensure a serious, committed home.
Marceline needs to be the only dog in the home. She is incredibly loving, patient, loyal, and affectionate with people—she loves to snuggle, play, and be close to her family. She has never had any issues with people, only with other dogs.
For full transparency, she came from a very neglectful situation as a puppy and as a result developed resource guarding with food and toys around other dogs, especially our 7yr old Husky. We were able to manage this for years, but after recently welcoming a baby, the added stress has caused her reactivity towards our Husky to return. This coupled with a growing child in the home that will eventually have food and toys scattered around the house, as all children do, we have come to the realization that we can no longer safely manage the situation the way she deserves.
Marceline is truly a wonderful dog with so much love to give, and we want to find her a safe, stable home where she can thrive as the only pet and can finally have toys out to play with all the time. We love her dearly but truly our hands are being forced as this situation is not what is best for Marceline and we cannot change it.
