VenmoThis monumental hand-carved wood panel draws inspiration from traditional North Indian architectural arches, often found in historic haveli homes and temple structures.
The panel features a scalloped Mughal-style arch framed by dense floral and foliate carving rendered in deep relief, creating beautiful texture and shadow across the surface.
Finished in a softly weathered green patina, the surface has been intentionally aged to highlight the intricate carving and evoke the character of antique architectural fragments.
Likely produced in India in the late 20th century using traditional carving techniques, the panel was created as decorative architectural art and now functions beautifully as a large-scale wall installation.
At over seven feet wide, the piece has architectural scale and makes a dramatic focal point above a bed, sofa, console, or fireplace.
This is substantial and heavy. Adequate mounting hardware has been added to the reverse for wall display.
