This is a hardwood tall table and chairs. It's very high-quality. I think it's maple, but I'm not sure. This set has seen a lot of use and abuse, but there is still a ton of life left. For someone who has minimum basic skills, you can restore this and have a set that's worth well over $1000. It has a built-in extension leaf under the table.
