The Leopoldo GX-4i2 golf rangefinder uses interchangeable faceplates (yellow vs chrome) to instantly switch between advanced “smart” features and basic tournament-legal mode. The key difference is that the yellow plate activates slope and club selection, while the chrome plate restricts the device to line-of-sight distances only.

For the best tournament legality, the GX4i2 model is highly recommended over the original GX4, as the 4i2 was specifically updated to ensure legality when the chrome plate is used.
