ZelleThis is a solid bike. I have owned this bike since 2015. The bike was previously owned by a close personal friend, so I know all the ins and outs of the bike. I have always been very committed to performing regular maintenance. Oil changes every 3-4 tanks of fuel. Oil filter changes every 2 oil changes. Rear linkage greasing. etc.
Here is a list of the items that have been updated or replaced since winter came.
Rear linkage regrease with new seal replacement
New clutch plates
New clutch cover
New oil filter cover
New oil and dust seals on both front forks
The bike is set up for a larger person. The front and rear springs were replaced with the correct setup for a 210 lbs. person. I have a high seat for long legs. Also, I installed a cooling fan on the radiator so that it runs cooler on slower trail rides. The water pump was replaced with a high flow pump to help in cooling the engine.
5 years ago, I paid Moto United to rebuild the entire engine and transmission. $5k at the time. There are probably 50 hours on the new rebuild.
I loved the bike so much, and it was set up for me. I did not want a replacement, so I spent the money to repair the bike. I have now purchased a new bike and it is time to let someone else enjoy this ride.
One thing that I do not like, but can not change is that the chain adjuster bolts are stripped in the rear fork. You can tension the chain correctly but it is not ideal. I got this bike with this problem. It is not really an issue.
