This is Fonzie and he's a fixed Frenchie. He is about eight years old and healthy. He's pretty big for the breed at about 40 pounds. He used to be fat but we've got him down to a healthier weight. He LOVES everyone and gets really excited anytime a new person visits.
He has common Frenchie issues. Because of allergies and breathing issues, he licks his paws and licks any carpeted floor, snores, grunts and makes pig noises when he eats, drools, whines and cries incessantly at the door if you leave him outside too long, and his farts will clear out everyone in a 100 yard radius.
He sleeps in a kennel at night and does his business outside like a good boy. He's definitely an inside dog, and fairly low-energy most of the time but he does enjoy short daily walks - about 10 minutes before he's worn out.
We've been babysitting him for about a year for a family member. He's actually a very good boy but with some definite quirks that are mostly out of his/our/anyone's control. He's simply worn out his welcome and he's ready for a permanent loving home.
He doesn't have any bad behaviors other than the attributes that come with the breed (allergies and breathing issues). We feed him a specific food in a slow-feed bowl and give him allergy treats which help keep his itchiness and fartiness at a less obnoxious level.
We have a very timid cat and she warmed up to him after the first few months, and now they co-exist with no issues.
He comes with a bag of his food and a pile of his personal items and his sleeping kennel.
If you want to come meet him, call me to discuss. I will ignore all texts.
We are going to be picky about who we send him home with, because you have to understand and accept his quirks or it will not go well for you, or for him.
Yes, he is free to the right home.
However, don't bother calling if you are an impatient person or a first-time pet owner, or if you're thinking about getting this little fella and flipping him to make a profit. You are a horrible person if you've even considered that.
Thank you.
