Meet Scout….the kind of horse you don’t find twice. He’s the handsome paint that catches your eye first and earns your trust next. Standing at 15.2 hands and 8 years old, Scout carries the best of both worlds in his blood: the grit and cow sense of a Quarter Horse and the sure-footed smoothness of a Tennessee Walker. It’s a cross that makes him uniquely capable, comfortable, and reliable.
He’s spent most of his life on a ranch in Northern Utah doing the work that molds a horse into something steady, confident, and worth his weight in gold.
Scout isn’t bothered by chaos, pressure, or long days. When mother cows get defensive, when a rope comes tight, or when a job has to get done, he’s your guy. That steady presence is what makes him special.
He’s the one you can send through water crossings, creeks, mud, and anything else you send his way….he just goes.
He will hold a calf tight while you doctor in the field, take care of you in the branding pen, and gather cattle with the best of them.
There’s no substitute for real miles and Scout has them. The miles you only get from ranch work, not arena circles.
He’s willing, stout, and dependable. The kind of partner that meets you where you’re at and steps up when you need him most. Whether you want a seasoned ranch mount or a horse with the foundation to go any direction, Scout isn’t just capable, he’s qualified.
He’s earned every good thing said about him and he is ready to take this experience on to his next person.
Hip #34 at the Heber Valley Horse Sale March 27-28th.
Note: Since he’s consigned to the auction, I just listed a starting price amount for the KSL ad here.
