VenmoThis is Shadow I am not too happy about selling him so if the offer is not right or I feel you will not be a good match the answer will be no! He is a great horse and will make the right person a lifetime partner. He just needs work :)
Here is pros and cons of Shandow Pros: He is a very sweet in your pocket type of horse. He will literally run into you if you are walking in the feild because he has so have all your attention. He will make himself present. like I said super in your pocket. He has energy for days. He loves trail rides. His favorite thing we have found is moving cows. He is super easy to catch, load, shoe or just whatever. He will go out on his own with some convincing. He is super good with dogs, pigs, cows, or crazy kids running around him. He will join if he can.
Cons: He has tons of energy, it is a love hate thing, just depends on who is riding him. He picks who he like to ride him. He does not buck or rear but without a tie down he will knock ya a good one. When he decids he don't like you riding him he will side step, prance or anything to act like he just came off the track. He is perfect for 2 of my boys, absolutely hates me or my husband riding him. Have not figured out why either because we have all rode him and never had any issues. So as far as saddle time my husband and I can go to hell as far as he is concerned. When my two older boys ride him he will ride into hell and back for them. He does have a bowed front tendon (which is why he was retired from the track) it has never bothered him not once. Never heats up and has never taken a lame step. He absolutely hates the arena, my theory is he is having flash backs from the race track or the attempt to be turned into a barrel horse before I got him. Again not sure why, has been rode in them when I first got him never had a issue. but now it is a no go for him. He prefers the open range so to speak. He does grind his teeth when irritated, a habit that has gotten better since we have had him which has been around 4 years now. He is the boss of the herd, he will pick until he either gets the crap beat out of him or he wins the title. Kinda stubborn that way.
The reason I am selling him is because I need a horse that I can throw anyone on and go. He is selective on who rides him and I cannot have that where I take inexperienced people with me all the time. I'm asking 3500 and the right home where he will be put to work. He has a lifetime brand inspection on him so that will be transfered when sold. If you are out of state and need a coggins or want a pre purchase exam it is 100% on you. He is 16 hands tall, has great feet. When we ride consistently we throw shoes on him, but if the terrain is right he don't need them. I will have to rummage up his papers to get his exact age be he is either 10 or 11 If you wanna come try him out on a trail rides or just around the feild come on up.
