PayPalFor sale is a complete 6-piece matching Mid-Century Modern bedroom suite from the iconic Lane Perception series. Designed by Warren Church, the Perception line was manufactured in Altavista, Virginia in the late 1950s/early 1960s, and is highly regarded for its seamless blend of Scandinavian influence and American craftsmanship.
These specific models of the Perception collection feature a sleek, minimalist aesthetic that highlights the beautiful natural grain and sculpted finger-pull handles, offering a clean look that fits perfectly in MCM-themed homes and many contemporary homes. The Perception collection came in Burnished Walnut and Beeswax Oak, but I'm not sure which finish these are considered to be, although I would guess Burnished Walnut. These pieces have the original finish. According to their serial numbers, they were manufactured in 1961, with a couple of the pieces made in 1962. Originally purchased by my great uncle.
Included Pieces:
9-Drawer Triple Dresser (Model 222-07): Exceptional storage with a stunning low-profile design. The handle of the middle top drawer is broken and needs to be repaired or replaced (see photos).
Large Vertical Mirror (Model 222-10): Designed to mount to the triple dresser.
5-Drawer Highboy Chest (Model 222-12): Tall, elegant, and perfect for vertical storage.
Two Nightstands (Model 222-32): A rare matching pair featuring the signature tapered legs and an open shelf for books or other items.
Headboard (Model 222-22): Fits Queen frames with the classic Perception angles and curves.
Condition:
Structural: Excellent. All pieces are solid with no structural damage or wobbles, other than the broken drawer handle of the 9-drawer triple dresser (see photos).
Functionality: All drawers slide smoothly on their original tracks.
Finish: Original vintage finish. The set is in good vintage condition overall, though the finish has some blemishes and wear to the top surfaces consistent with its age. It is beautiful as-is for a vintage enthusiast or a perfect candidate for a light refinish.
Location: Available for local pickup in Bluffdale.
Other Important Information: Serious inquiries only, please. Not interested in selling individual pieces. Note that the lamps shown in some of the photos are NOT included with the bedroom set, but they are available for sale separately (https://classifieds.ksl.com/listing/80920118). A simple metal bed frame will be included, if desired.
Cash, Venmo, or PayPal only. If this ad is up, they are available, so no need to ask.
