Venmo1968 Ludwig Maple Classic Drum Set White Marine Pearl, comes with iconic Ludwig Supraphonic 400 Snare. The set is in excellent condition, no scratches, scuffs, no modifications... complete, intact, same as when they left the Ludwig factory Tuesday and Wednesday March 26 and 27, 1968. They still have original heads. Maple shells have painted white interiors; date stamps are still readable. Keystone badges, with close serial numbers. Bass drums hoops are in excellent shape. There is some yellowing as is the case with all 59 year old shells, this can be can be reversed with the "Retro Brighenting" process...Google it.
I will throw in replacement heads so you can keep original heads for collect ability or to sell. Some heads sell for $40- $100. Sizes are 22 Bass, 16 Tom, 13 mounted Tom, 14 Snare (regrettably the original snare wires are gone, but replacements wires with factory logo are available online. *I will consider selling the heads separately, stamped with Ludwig Weather Master logos. Also I will consider selling the Supraphonic 400 Snare, which has some slight chrome flaking, however no rust or pitting, for $500. I will include with the kit the original Hi Hat stand with clutch and felt washers. A vintage WFL snare stand, and a used Speed King pedal, just in case you want even more authenticity. Here's a chance to own drum history (and play) some of the best drums ever made... very playable as is. Drums are clean, and are absolutely beautiful. *Unlike the Mod Orange, or Psychedelic Red, kits which are more common among collectors. Hint: It was because they were rather ugly and didn't sell well. (I know I was there, 1969 as young Hippie drummer). I preferred beautiful drums like these. This is the set and only color Buddy Rich played: White Marine Pearl --- Yes he did add a second floor tom later in his career.
